Triumph T100 - Motone Chain Guard Install

Installing the Motone Chain Guard to the 2019 Triumph Bonneville T100 Black was a quick and easy job. With basic hand tools we swapped the original Triumph chain guard for the Motone Chain Guard in about 10 mins.

Tools:

  • Allen key 5mm
  • Socket wrench + extension
  • Threadlock

1. Remove the original chain guard using the 5mm allen key, we started with the rear bolt.

2. Then the front bolt. (Both 5mm hex).

3. Remove the OEM Triumph T100 chain guard.

4. Slot the Motone Chain Guard into position and fasten the bolts back up accordingly, add some threadlock to stop the bolts from vibrating loose.

5. Then the rear bolt, remembering to add a drop of threadlock.

6. Complete!
